I'd love to participate. I will be out of town for the Gloworama gig the weekend of Thanksgiving, though. When were you planning on having this event?

Profile Information

How do you define "skill toys"?
any prop or object which require skill to use, and brings entertainment or amusment to yourself/ or others.
What is your skill toy of choice?
Well I've been doing poi the longest, and that's the first thing I usually pick up when playing, but I also hoop, meteor, fans, staff(Kinda) double staff, contact juggling, toss juggling, and the levitation wand.

I'd like to be at least well acquainted with every toy i can.
How long have you been spinning/hooping/juggling/etc?
Before I ever learned to play i was a fire breather back in the summer of 05. That Oct. I Started spinning poi. The beginning of 06 is the first time i tried staff and its been a love/hate relationship ever since, that year i also had my first encounter with contact juggling I was gifted my first sphere it was wooden and weighed nothing. In mid 07 i started hooping i surprised myself because like other "guys" I was biased against the hoop I started Contact again that year and found myself much more interested in learning it. last year i found myself toss juggling , and double staffing
Have you learned to play yet? What introduced you to this world of motion?
I found my beginnings as a cast member at a Renaissance faire. While work the faire, i learned of a fire troupe that needed some safety technicians for the shows that year.I volunteered and that was where i first learned about the fire arts, i was mesmerized by the fire poi, staff, fans, fire eating, and finally fire breathing. by the end of the summer and the end of faire, I'd learned fire breathing , and was a fill in performer the show. the next year i joined Celtic Fyre outright.
Where is your favorite place to "play"?
At a park or in my yard, but the best place is where ever my friends are.
How do you find your "Spin-Zen"? What helps you get your groove on?
i think music helps at first it helps you loosen up, after that i try to let my consciousness sift away till I'm just in the moment. sometime its harder to achieve that state than others.
Why do you do it? What motivates you to spin/dance?
i spin for myself and the thrill of performing I'm addicted.

internal firespinning

green twilight, an epitaph to awareness
shadows fall, on doubts internalized
fires ignite strengthen resolve,
But light makes the shadows ever the bigger.....
